Terms and responsibilities
MOVE is a volunteer workforce coordination platform that helps connect volunteer dental professionals with community-led oral health initiatives.
Koira supports this kaupapa by helping connect clinicians with community events and, where requested, may also support the planning and delivery of initiatives in partnership with hosting providers and organisations.
Clinical services and patient care are delivered under the responsibility of the treating clinician.
Clinician requirements

Be registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand

Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate

Meet professional standards for ethical conduct, clinical competence, and cultural competence

Have the legal right to work in New Zealand

Have experience and competency in general adult dental care
Volunteer expectations

Participation is voluntary

Availability and expression of interest do not guarantee placement in an initiative
Liability
Koira and MOVE are not responsible or liable for any clinical care, clinical decisions, treatment outcomes, or professional conduct arising from services delivered by volunteers as part of these initiatives.
Responsibility for clinical care sits with the treating clinician.
Logistics and support
Travel and accommodation support may be provided for participating clinicians.
Specific arrangements will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis for each initiative.
Data and privacy
Information collected through this process will be used for the purpose of workforce coordination regarding relevant initiatives only.
Employment relationship
Expressing interest or participating does not constitute an employment or contracting arrangement with MOVE or Koira.
No agency, employment, or partnership relationship is created through participation.
Placements
Decisions regarding suitability, participation, or placement are made at Koira’s discretion.
Right to decline participation
Koira reserves the right to decline or not progress expressions of interest where required.
